Gosh! time flies so fast... and now its already SUMMER!
But the weather is really erratic.. the day would start a bright sunny morning that gets soo intolerably HOT during midday then suddenly.. the you'll be surprised to see dark sky and in the blink of an eye, here come raindrops falling.

Last holy week, our family didn't spend it elsewhere but home.

Uhmm i am not earning much from serving the ads in the sidebar but just this week I got hired for a new job. Ahh all those grueling past weeks applying for jobs and waiting for phone calls has been worth it. Last Monday i was called for an interview (written and oral) i felt like a student having a thesis defense in front of the panel of judges, there were 6 others aside from me vying for the position.

I am really excited, it's past midnight yet i can't sleep. Im kind of scared i might not wake up early. Have to travel at 4AM so i can reach the office by 9AM . Yup! its far from where we live. I have to ride a bus and then a ferry boat for 30min to get to the other island and then transfer to another bus again. I will have my job orientation at 9Am today.

With this new turn of events, I would have to relocate and for the time being i won't have an internet connection unless they would give me a wi-fi laptop.ü
I know, i will have an internet withdrawal syndrome big time!
No more overnight watching videos at Youtube, gawking (and drooling ..) over cute Korean and other cute asian boiz!

I just finished watching Hana-Kimi Taiwanese version and i can say Wu Chun is love! :-]
Me and my youngest sister are gong gaga over him now! Hana-Kimi is soo funny.. hard not to love him there.

Join Earth's Day 1 hour Lights Out

On 29 March 2008 the Philippines will join countries around the world as we literally "turn the lights out" for Earth Hour - an event that will fuel awareness on climate change and prove that when the people of the world work together, they can make a difference in the fight against global warming.

Earth Hour will take place throughout the Philippines from 8 to 9 in the evening on Saturday, 29 March 2008. WWF invites you to participate by shutting off lights for 60 minutes, organizing your own "lights-out" event or by disseminating this info to your friends, workmates and family.

Launched in Australia on the 31st of March 2007, Earth Hour moved 2.2 million people and 2100 businesses in Sydney to turn off their lights for one hour. This massive collective effort reduced the city's energy consumption by 10.2% for one hour. With Sydney icons like the Harbour Bridge and Opera House turning their lights off and unique events such as weddings by candlelight, the world took notice. Inspired by the collective effort of millions of Sydneysiders, many major global cities are joining Earth Hour in 2008, turning a symbolic event into a global movement.

Recently Google updated theirAdsense Terms and Conditions, when you log in to your Adsense account you have to agree to a new TOS before you can access your account. It seems that sites serving Adsense must post a Privacy Policy notification.

So to adhere to the new requirements set by Google i hereby notify all readers/visitors of my blog, that Google "use cookies and/or web beacons to collect data in the ad serving process". This is to enhance your online experience and to learn about how you use Google services in order to improve the quality of their services. My friday with no electricity

Yay! its 3AM here now..I just got over 18 hours with no electricity today. Looked like all residence in our district wasn't able to pay their electric bills :lol: It was sooo dark! No moon , not even a single stars in the sky. I missed my favorite soap on TV. Wasn't able to cook because we use electric stove which is useless in moment like this. Had only canned goods for dinner, good thing there was a left over rice from this morning. Had no choice but get in bed at 7PM, but wasn't able to sleep comfortably thru the night since it's so dark i was quite paranoid about burglars. I have only my youngest sister with me. Our electricity was restored just an hour ago (2AM), I was itching to get online immediately but 10 minutes after, the lights went out again.

Why am i still up at 3am? The light is back (obviously that's why im online.. ü) and I am cooking breakfast already. My sister will have school practice this morning and i don't like to be forced to wake up early just to cook. So while i'm still wide awake i better make her breakfast. My cooking isn't that good when i am doing it half-hearted. You wanna see what i made?
My sister and I will be having this for breakfast.. yummy chicken adobo! (oh, i just grabbed that pic over the net but it sure looks like the one i have in my cookingpot)

This morning, after 4 weeks of waiting, i received Google Adsense post mail. Gosh! our post office is sure slow in delivering letters .. and as usual it's already been opened (and taped again..) :shocks: Every time i get a mail from overseas, it's very rare that it would reach me untouched. Why would someone pry open a letter not for them? Grrr.. hello! there's no money in there!
Anyway, with this letter is the PIN i have to enter in my adsense account to be able to receive my ads earnings. Oh, i better remember to make that "privacy policy" tomorrow to comply with Google's new terms with regards to adsense. For now, i better go back to sleep before nasty breakouts appear on my face again. I'll see you folks when i wake up!

Customize Your Blog Icon

Yesterday i was able to change my layout to look the way i want and wrote about how i wanted to get rid of the default Blogger icon in the address bar. Today, with the help of DJYano's great tips on changing favicons, i was able to customize it.

I went to DJYano's suggested Favicon Maker and uploaded the image i want. After i downloaded the the generated favicon, i can't upload it to Imageshack right away because it has an ico file extension which is not supported. I changed image file extension by opening Paint and saving it as jpeg. After uploading and getting the url provided by Imageshack, i edited by html to look for this tag (You can use Ctrl+F and type the words you wanna find to make it easier )

Preview your template first before saving to see if all is OK.
It was so easy as eating peanuts! I finished it in no time, unlike yesterday it took me hours (6hours i think.. :LoL:) to change layout. :p

A new layout .. and MAROON5 rocking the night

Finally i manage to make a 3 column layout after grueling hours of tweaking xhtml codes which i am really not familiar. If you have blog hopped to this page much earlier, you might have found it a mess :lol:

I've always wanted to have a 3-column blogger layout for sometime now and i just can't seem to make all the templates i've downloaded work. Good thing i was blog hopping earlier today and found this turkish blog with simple tips how to add another sidebar to a Minima template. The site has tool to automatically translate in English. I'm so sorry, i want to credit him but i forgot his website URL. x:bad:x I will try to find him. My next project is to find out how to get rid of blogger icon and have it change to a personalized one.

Maroon 5 (Adam Levine (vocals, guitar), James Valentine (guitar, vocals), Jesse Carmichael (keyboards, vocals), Mickey Madden (bass guitar) and Matt Flynn (drums, percussion), the Grammy Award winning rock band originating from Los Angeles, California had their first Philippine concert and was rocking Araneta Coliseum earlier at 8PM. The cheapest ticket cost about P1575 (these seats are too far from the stage), most expensive seat/ticket cost 10,500 pesos with the current exchange rate that is $258.. wow! so expensive!

It's past midnight now.. i must sleep and think how can i earn and save more money to buy myself a ticket to the Super Junior 1st Asian Tour in Malaysia this May2008. This is going to be my birthday gift to my self. Hope the ticket isn't that expensive cause i would still have to spend for plane ticket to fly to Malaysia.. aahhh im soo excited already. Zzzzzzzzzz

I am a music enthusiast (~~i believe so..)~~ but somehow musical instruments are not so fond of me. So i settled to just singing and not learn how to play a single instrument. I remember when i was in my 2nd year in high school, our music class required us to have a piano recital. I reading musical notes was not that hard but my fingers were just so stiff that geez! i can't play music smoothly. Ah i remembered i was practicing on my paper piano back then.. you know i stapled 2 long bond paper and drew white and black piano keys. I was practicing with the music playing only in my head. hahaha!

The day before the recital, my parents finally was able to buy me a Sharp Keyboard to practice but with the short time left to practice it didn't help much. I think my fingers when more used to the paper piano.ü

Anyways, after that i get to play the keyboard only occasionally. Maybe i was not really determined to learn since i didn't pursue it later on. 10 years forward, the keyboard is still with me, slightly used and just sitting around the corner waiting for someone to give her the attention she deserves.

Earlier today, i was watching clips of my Super Junior in YouTube, saw Teukie playing the piano and he looked soo handsome and romantic at the same time *giggles* and i feel like wanting to learn again but i've played in 10 years! What a good timing it must have been because just now i stumbled this really, really helpful article on how to read musical notes. So thankful that the site allow others to blog it without having to face copyright infringement.

How To Read Music - wikiHow

Study the staff. There are five lines and four spaces, each of which represents a single note. The space above or below any given line corresponds to the note above or below it on the scale.
Identify the clef. The first symbol written on a staff (the five lines on which the notes are written) is the clef, and it tells you which lines and spaces on the staff correspond with which notes. The two most common clefs are the treble clef and the bass clef.

- Treble or G clef with G note
  
  Treble clef: The treble clef, also known as the G-clef because it circles the line for the G note) is used in writing music for most musical voices (soprano, mezzo-soprano, alto, and tenor), most woodwind instruments, stringed instruments (violin, guitar) and high brass instruments such as the trumpet. It also typically corresponds to the notes played with the right hand on the piano. The notes played on the lines of the treble clef staff are, from bottom to top, E, G, B, D, F. The order of these notes can be remembered with the use of mnemonic phrases such as Every Good Boy Deserves Fudge. The spaces between the lines, from bottom to top, correspond to the notes F, A, C, E, a sequence which, obviously, spells "FACE."
- Bass clef or F-clef with F note
  
  Bass clef: The bass clef, also known as the F-clef because it defines the line for the F note between two dots, is used for lower-pitched instruments such as the bassoon, the bass, and low brass instruments such as the trombone and tuba. The piano part played by the left hand is also usually written with a bass clef. The notes played on the lines of the treble clef staff are, from bottom to top, G, B, D, F, A. This order can be remembered with the aid of phrases such as Good Burritos Don't Fall Apart. The spaces between the lines, from bottom to top, correspond to the notes A, C, E, G. The mnemonic device All Cows Eat Grass may help you remember the order of these notes.
Determine the key signature. Directly to the right of the clef there may be one or more flat or sharp symbols before the notes begin. This group of symbols is called the key signature. If there are no so such symbols, then the key signature is "natural" (neither sharp nor flat).
- Key signature in A-flat-major and f-minor
- A flat symbol on a line or a space tells you that all notes on that line or space should be played flat (one semitone lower than they would otherwise be played.) Thus a flat symbol on the line of the staff that corresponds to "B" would indicate that all "B" notes in the piece should be played as "B-flats," which are halfway between "A" and "B". The symbols that look like lowercase letter "b"s are flats.
- Key signature in B-major and g-sharp-minor
  
  A sharp symbol tells you that all notes on that line or space should be played a semitone higher than they would otherwise be played. The symbols that look like number or pound symbols are sharps.
- Notes can also be designated flats or sharps by flat or sharp symbols placed right before them within the piece of music. In this case, only the corresponding notes in that measure (see next step) are modified.
- Natural sign cancel a flat or a sharp
  
  If the key signature tells you that all "B" notes, for example, should be played as "B-flats," a natural sign can be used before a single "B" note to indicate that that particular note and other "B" notes in that measure should be played as "B," not as "B-flat."

Observe the time signature. To the right of the key signature, if a key signature is present, will be the time signature (also known as the meter signature). The time signature typically consists of two numbers, and it looks like a fraction. It may stay constant throughout a piece of music, or it may change from time to time throughout a piece.
- A bar line
  
  The top number determines how many beats are in a measure or bar (a measure is defined by vertical lines, or bar lines, that run perpendicular to the staff). For instance, if the time signature is 3/4, there are three beats in a measure.
- The bottom number in the time signature determines what kind of note gets one beat. This number is most commonly 4, which means that a quarter note (see next step) gets one beat. It may also be 2, which means that a half note gets one beat.
- 4/4 time is so common that it is sometimes designated with the letter "C" ("common") in the time signature instead of with a fraction. Likewise, 2/2 time is sometimes designated by the letter "C" with a line running down through it. More complex time signatures may have an 8 or some other number on the bottom, but these are beyond the scope of this article.
Play the notes and rests in relation to the time signature. Now that you know which lines and spaces correspond to which notes (thanks to the clef), you can read the piece from left to right. The symbols will either represent notes or rests. Rests indicate silence, so they do not designate any pitch; they are typically always placed in the same position on the staff. A variety of symbols are used to indicate the duration of a note or rest relative to other notes or rests.

Notes:

Rests:
- A whole note or semibreve appears as a circle on the staff in a measure and generally is worth as many beats as the measure contains. Thus when there are 4 beats per measure (as in 4/4 time) the whole note is worth 4 beats, while in 3/4 time, which has 3 beats per measure, the whole note is worth 3 beats. You will notice when you read the sheet music that generally if there is a whole note in a measure, there aren't any other notes, because the whole note takes up all of the beats available in that measure. An exception may occur in irregular time signatures, such as 5/4, where a whole note may designate five beats unless it is accompanied by another note or notes--typically a quarter note--in the same measure, in which case it would be worth 4 beats.
- Whole rests look like dark rectangles hanging down off the second line from the top of the staff and are worth the same duration as whole notes. You can remember that whole rests come DOWN from the line because it's like a hole was dug.
- Half notes or minim are worth 1/2 the duration of whole notes. They appear as an empty circle with a straight line dropping down off the left side or going up off the right side. In 4/4 time, a half-note receives two beats.
- Half rests look like dark rectangles sitting on top of the third line from the top of the staff and are worth the same duration as half notes. These can be differentiated from whole notes because the half note looks like a top hat--hat and half sound similar.
- Quarter notes or crotchet are worth 1/4 the duration of whole notes. They look like solid circles with a straight line coming off of them (as in the half notes). In 4/4 time, quarter notes are worth 1 beat.
- Quarter rests are designated by a unique symbol that looks something like a bird flying sideways. They are worth the same amount of time as quarter notes. Sometimes they are represented by a symbol that is the mirror image of an eighth rest, shown later.
- Eighth notes or quaver are worth 1/8 the duration of whole notes. In 4/4 time, they are worth half a beat, so two eighth notes equal 1 beat, the equivalent of a quarter note. A single eighth note looks like the quarter note, but has a single "tail" that drops straight down or straight up and then curves back up or down toward the solid circle.
  - Two or more eighth notes together are connected by a single bar at the bottom or top, instead of having "tails."
- Eighth rests look a little like a leaning stick figure person cut in half vertically and holding his head in his outstretched hand. Or like a stylized number 7 with some kind of growth--hopefully it's benign--on its top left end. They are worth the same duration as an eighth note. The one in this picture is actually a sixteenth note, therefore having two bars on the top.
- Sixteenth notes or semiquaver are worth 1/16 the duration of whole notes.In 4/4 time, they are worth a quarter of a beat (four of them together make a single beat). A single sixteenth note looks like the eight note, but with two "tails" instead of one.
  - When they're connected, it's be two bars, not one.
- A dot next to the note or rest means that it should be lengthened half of the note's duration. A dot next to a whole note means that the note should be played for the duration of a note and a half (depending on the time signature; if the whole note is four beats, then a whole note with a dot next to it is held for six beats). A dot next to a half note means that the note should be held for the duration of 3/4 of a note.^[1]
- There are notes and rests of shorter durations than eighth notes and eighth rests, and these are designated by other symbols. Rests longer than whole rests may also be designated by a bar running through more than one measure with a number on top. The number indicates the number of measures of silence and does not necessarily correspond to the number of measures through which the symbol actually runs.
Pay attention to how the notes are played together or in succession.
- D-minor triad
  
  Frequently you will see two or more notes "stacked" on top of each other on the staff. This is a chord, and indicates that all the notes should be played at the same time. Chords may only be played on polyphonic instruments (instruments on which you can play two or more notes independently or as a chord) such as the piano and guitar.
- If there is an arc connecting one note's circle to another note's circle, this is a slur or a phrase mark. This means that you phrase them continuously without articulation or silences for the duration that is the sum of all notes included in the slur. This is referred to as legato.^[2]
- If you see a note with a dot over or under it (not next to it) play or sing the note as shortly as possible. This is referred to as staccato.^[2]

Beautiful Tree Houses

I stumbled these nice tree house pictures. I would love to have one tree house on the mango tree by the side of our house, but now it is impossible since we will be moving out in a month. Check out this pictures... they are nice.

A gigantic tree house that would house a 120-seat restaurant, a retail shop, two classrooms, and tow private dining rooms. Opened in January, 2005, the Treehouse at Alnwick Gardens is a labyrinth of turrets, treetop walkways, and cavernous spaces. At 6,000 square feet, it’s one of the largest wooden tree houses in the world.
im not sure it these two pics are one and the same tree house, it sure looks the same but the background is quite different. yeah maybe, its the same because ... look! the tree and the stairs has the same shape. but the two pics were taken in different year maybe. So i Googled this up and found out that this amazing treehouse was designed by Takashi Kobayashi , one of japan’s leading treehouse creators,to be an oval bird's nest . An advertising agency in Tokyo, hired him to design a treehouse for a Nescafé commercial now running on Japanese television and the price for this tree house was about $38,000. The house is located on a field there owned by the town of Kamishihoro, a gift from Nestlé, the makers of Nescafé, to the people of Hokkaido.

This is what i like among the 3, this is just uncommon. It is called ‘Free Spirit Spheres’ and is designed by Tom Chudleigh, and is an eco-friendly living quarter that was created to co-exist unobtrusively with its forest environment. Wooden spheres are built much like a cedar strip canoe or kayak, suspension points are similar to the chain plate attachments on a sailboat and the stairways hang from a tree much like a sailboats shrouds hang from the mast

I am an (extra) ordinary girl practically inlove with 13 guys at the same time.
geez! i just can't help it! I know im kind of too old for this thingy but these 13 gorgeous guys makes me feel like im 18 again ahahahaha! At first i only had my eyes for the youngest but day by day i am loving each of them more and more! and who wouldn't when it's SUPER JUNIOR!

Who's SUPER JUNIOR?

They are called Super Junior because they are really BIG! They are hitting it big in Japan , China,Malaysia and Thailand. Super Junior ( SJ or SuJu) is a 13 member Korean group under SM Entertainment. 12 of them - Leeteuk (the leader- he is 26), Heechul, Han Geng, Yesung, KangIn, Shindong, Sungmin, Eunhyuk, Donghae, Siwon, Ryeowook, and Kibum debuted in November 2005. Kyuhyun (my first Suju l♥ve- just turned 20) was added in 2006. Since their debut, they had been nominated and won many awards. One of these is being the best new Asian Artist 2007! Look here for the list of their awards and nominations! They are getting better and better!

I wouldn't really called them a boy band because they are more than that. Although i admit not 13 of them are vocally gifted, those who were weak in that area are good dancers, comedian and rappers instead. They are multi-entertainers, when they are not performing together, they do other jobs in between like DJ-ing, MC-ing, acting in drama series.. and really it doesn't hurt that they ALL have pretty face.

I don' t speak or understand Korean but watching their vids in YouTube really makes me excited. Watching their Suju Full House really cracked me up + their Exploration of Human Body , a show which seeks to explore different reactions and capability of human body when subjected to different experimentation was sooo cool. I got their album too (in Korean of course!) and im listening to it everyday.. not really undertanding just enjoying the music... language is not a barrier.

What i like about Super Junior is how they care so much about each other. Anti-SJ look at it as being gay, because they are really affectionate, especially to the younger ones. The younger ones also respect their elders. They are not camera conscious either unlike other stars who would only like to look good on cam.. Super Juniors are not that superficial..they can look helpless and cute at the same time. i dunno maybe im just bias heheheh.... hope they can come to the Philippines. OMG! ive never really a fan of anybody before (not even hollywood celebs) until Super Junior! I even influenced my 2 sisters too.. i can't just get enough of them. Im always hooked watching either their music videos or mini drama series. Super Junior's are super cute and funny guys!

As a matter of fact, as i mentioned in my last post i was helping my high school sister make a Windows Movie Maker project. I went off to YouTube and converted SuJu's vids and made my own... lookie! here is my finished product... my very own Suju random clips, my very first time to do so... i uploaded it in YouTube just now. YouTube Super Junior FullHouse and E.H.B and you will be hook.. i swear! Go to my YouTube account.
my personal fave are Kyuhyun, Sungmin, Kangin, Heechul, Siwon, Donghae, Teukie... Eunhyuk.. HanKyung.. they are all my fave.. i can't really single one out.

Here it is ..Enjoy! The last half was from the Don't Don MV with Henry Lau doing the awesome violin thingy (he is a guest). SuJu's fan's club the ELF (Ever-Lasting Friends) are against this boy's inclusion to Suju. .. but for me as long as my 13 Super Junior won't be separated and would continue to perform together, i wouldn't mind really if Henry will be the 14th member.

My youngest sister was asking for my help to make her school homework, she is supposedly to make a movie clip ( but i end up doing it !@#*~ as usual). I was browsing Youtube for clips of our favorite Super Junior K-pop group since she said it is ok to get clips from the web. Since we can't download directly from Youtube, i was searching for online converter and i found MediaConverter, where you can convert videos into almost all formats. No need to download and install anything! Its so convenient and fast too. You just need to copy the URL of the vid you like and select what format you want it to convert (3gp, avi, mpeg, flv, mov, wmv, psp. wav.. and a lot more) and you just press Hit and wait a few minutes and its done. You don't have to register first to use there service either. Go on and download all the videos you want to your computer. =)

Whether celebrities or not, according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, breast augmentation is the most commonly performed cosmetic surgical procedure in the United States. Successful surgeries can be viewed as beauty enhancement, but there are a number of disasters that can scare the hell out of you. Women who will get a breast implants should realize that their bodies will change and there are horrible problems some of them will face...it's inevitable!
Now, before you consider having your breast done, consider first if you wanna look like this in 10-20 years...remember silicone won't wrinkle like our skin does.

How can we all have plastic surgeries, if things like this can happen? It's too risky!
Don't let your insecurity of having A-cup eats you up. Being natural is beautiful!
Personally, if i would consider breast surgery, it would be for reduction. Having a 38C-cup is not that all good, if you live in the Philippines, you are a rare species and you would have difficulty finding a bra of that size (yeah, really since most women are 34A-B). I can't ran as free as the wind without the jugs bouncing much and would occasionally have backaches because it is heavy. What they say is true, one can never really be satisfied of what they have. What others see as happiness can be someone else's burden. ü

Amazing Chinese Deaf Dance Troupe

I was watching tv and our local tv news featured this video of Chinese deaf dancing troupe. Can you believe these dancers are all DEAF?! I for one can not. But yes, indeed they all are. They get their cues for movement from the two people standing off to the right and left of the stage.

These dancers performed as thousand hands Kwan-yin, one of most important Buddha in chinese Buddhism. Buddhism originate from India, so you can find some indian style on the stage, cloth and the golden flame archway, but the music used here was definitely chinese.

AMAZING isnt it?! I got goosebumps watching this vid. Congratulations to them for this great great performance! I'd like to honor their trainors too for all the patience and hard work. Truly, their efforts are all paid off.
They will be performing in 2008 Paralympic Games which will be held on 6 - 17 September 2008 in Beijing, China.
